SYMBIOT

Your coding agents work.
You only do what only you can do.

Symbiot runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aider or Cursor across all your projects, on your computer. They do the work and bring it back for your OK. You only see what needs you: a decision, a sign-in, a yes. Built for developers and small teams who owe someone an update every week.

An agent asks, you pick an answer, it carries on. (A made-up company: nothing real on show.)

What it does

One orb that knows what needs you.

Symbiot sits on your computer and keeps track of everything moving around you, so you spend your time on the parts only you can do.

It watches

What you work on and what comes in: your projects, your mail, chats and code. You see what changed without opening ten tabs.

It works

It hands tasks to your coding agent, which does them on its own inside that project and tells you what it did. Nothing is pushed, published or deleted behind your back.

It asks

Only what only you can do: a sign-in, a decision, your OK before anything goes out. When something needs you, the orb glows amber.

How it works

Install it. Set it up once. Get on with your day.

No terminal, no keys to copy, nothing to configure by hand.

01

Install

Download Symbiot for your computer and open it. It adds itself to your Start menu or app menu.

02

Set it up in a few minutes

A short walkthrough connects your AI, finds your projects, picks your coding agent and links the apps you use.

03

Talk to it, or don't

Tell Symbiot what to do, or just glance at the orb. It keeps working while you get on with your day.

Install

Get Symbiot.

Pick your computer. Each download installs everything Symbiot needs, then opens it into setup.

Your computer

Windows

Windows 10 and 11

Download for Windows

If Windows says it protected your PC, choose More info → Run anyway.

Your computer

Mac

macOS 11 or later, Apple silicon and Intel

Download for Mac

Drag Symbiot to Applications. The first time, your Mac asks you to allow it: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

Your computer

Linux

Ubuntu, Pop!_OS, Debian and most others

Download for Linux

Open the download to install it. Not Ubuntu, Pop!_OS, Debian or Mint? Use the AppImage.

Prefer the terminal? npm install -g symbiot (needs Node.js 18 or later).

From your phone

Say yes from anywhere.

Your agents keep working while you're out. When one needs you, your phone tells you, and one tap sends the work on its way.

01

An agent finishes

It has done the work in your project and wants your OK, or it has a question only you can answer.

02

Your phone buzzes

Symbiot's Android app shows what changed and what it's asking, in plain words. It's sealed between your phone and your computer, at home or away.

03

You approve, the pull request opens

Tap Approve and your computer opens the pull request and ships it. Not yet? Answer in your own words and the agent carries on.

Approve-and-ship is part of Pro. The phone app is on Android for now: Get the phone app.

Free and Pro

Free to use. Pro when it's doing more of your work.

Every install starts with 14 days of Pro, no key and no card needed. After that it carries on as Free unless you choose Pro.

What you need

A computer and an AI.

Your AI

  • A Claude subscription (Pro or Max) is best: Symbiot uses it through Claude Code, with no key and nothing extra to pay. Setup installs Claude Code for you if it's missing.
  • Or an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.
  • Or a free model that runs on your own computer.

Your work stays yours

  • Symbiot runs on your computer. Your projects, mail and chats are read there, not uploaded to us.
  • Pair your phone and it shows your work there too, sealed between the two. Away from home it passes through symbiot.co.za, which can't read it and keeps none of it.
  • Its agents can't push to your main branch, publish, delete outside a project or read your keys.
  • Anything that goes out in your name waits for your OK.
